Pulsed Galvanic Stimulator The Pulsed-Galvanic Stimulator is a High Voltage Galvanic system. This device is battery powered and generates small pulses of electrical current. The output signal has a "twin-peak monophasic wave form with a fixed duration". Each pulse is much shorter in duration (5 us) and can achieve much higher voltage than conventional stimulator. The Pulsed-Galvanic stimulator system provides two channels in a single device package. It has the capability of treating two different patients or two different sites of a patient simultaneously. This device also offers an alternative mode that two channels can work alternatively. The polarity switch sets the polarity of the active electrode in relation to the dispersive electrode. The active electrode is the pad that delivers the treatment current. The dispersive electrode completes the patient circuit. The Pulsed-Galvanic stimulator has fully adjustable amplitude (voltage) and the rate of twin pulses is adjustable from 2 pairs (two pulses) per second to 100 pairs/second. The LED indicator can show the battery condition and function mode. When turn on the power, the LED will turn into green color. If the batter power is low, the LED will show red color. In the alternation mode, the LED will alternate between red and green color. Indications: Immediate post surgical stimulation of calf muscles to prevent venus thrombosis, increasing or maintaining range of motion, muscle re-education, disuse atrophy, insufficient blood circulation.
